I just received my new Spellbinders Becca's Chantilly Lace dies and decided to play. I used some gold and white on the bottom one and cream and gold on the top one. The Merry Christmas die is from Sue Wilson's Creative Expressions. I added some pearls for accent.
I stamped the pretty Winter Wonderland from Power Poppy with black Memento ink and colored it with copics. I cut it out and used the same die cut to make a frame for this and edged it in gold pen. I cut a burgundy and blue Merrie Christmas and off set them so it has a shadow effect. This beautiful image is a digital from Power Poppy. I downloaded it onto cryogen white text weight and colored it with copic markers. I love the cryogen white papers to use with copics, the ink floats a little for blending but it's the easiest paper I have found to use with copics. It's not a bright white more of a winter white with some sparkle to it. The challenge this month over at Power Poppy is No line coloring. I used their download of the Camellias and colored pencils to color this. It was quite a challenge using colored pencils, been years since I've used those and I only have a very small package of them. I watched Alyce's video on the coloring with the pencils and tried to recreate some of her techniques. It was fun even though I think I will like her marker videos better, I'm not patient enough to use this method all the time. I just received my flowering Dogwood collection of stamps, dies and papers from Heartfelt Creations and they are gorgeous!! I love soft colors so this collection is perfect. I used their 6x6 papers in the collection and just made flowers and leaves to accent the cards. The blue doesn't show on the background paper on the first card but it is there and the blue ribbon and bow match it.

Karen Whttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06267933960420612841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-878056871822574104.post-28766067125074467012017-02-05T08:10:00.000-06:002017-02-05T08:10:03.124-06:00Power Poppy Bouquet in Pinks

This new digital image from Power Poppy is just gorgeous and fun to work with. I printed it off on cryogen white shimmer paper in text weight and colored it with copics. The new digital from Power Poppy is this beautiful ruffled orchid. I printed it off on text weight cryogen white paper which has a slight shimmer to it and cut it out with a Spellbinders die. I colored this with copics in the BV colors and G colors for the leaves. I sponged some distress ink around the image and added some layers. I haven't added the saying and won't until I need to send the card, then I can add whatever saying I need at that time. The card is 5x7. The challenge at Power Poppy is to make a winter flower card. I used their Paper Whites stamp in memento black and colored it with copics. I added some stickles to the buds to soften them up. I layered this 5x5 square card with dark purple and lavender and silver mirror card. I added a pretty border die by Sue Wilson and added a gem to each one.
