The Shabby Tea Room, anything goes

I absolutely love vintage/shabby but have a hard time with it.  After seeing the winners card on The Shabby Tea Room,  I decided to try and case it somewhat.  I used a 6x6 card, several papers from DCWV and edged them in silver pen.  The pretty mesh border is from Cheery Lynn Designs.   The cute little die in the center is a center piece of the Anja Square by Marianne dies.  I added lots of bling to the card with lace, flowers, leaves, baby's breath and pearls.  I didn't have the same elements as Kathy's card but she gave me great ideas on making it more vintage, thanks so much Kathy!!

Shabby Tea Room, Just Pretty

The challenge at Shabby Tea Room is Just Pretty. The challenge at Cheery Lynn is Sweethearts.    I used the gorgeous Sophia's Heart die from Cheery Lynn over some K&Co paper.  The pretty flowers are a 3-D punch out from Anna Griffin and I added lots of bling to finish the card.

Shabby Tea Room, Color me Pretty

The color challenge on Shabby Tea Room is white/cream, pink, blue and add flowers and fabric.  I made this 6x6 card, some paper from my stash and distressed the edges with TH distressed inks.  I added a strip of lace that I also distressed with the tea dye ink.  I cut a pretty Swedish spring oval, distressed the edges and put a copper peel off thank you in the center and pearls around the edge.  The beautiful Victorian Romance Flourish was used in the corner.  I made the leaves from the new Flourish Leaf Strip and added some distressed inks to those also.   The butterflies are from the Exotic small set #2 and I added pearls to those.  I made the flowers from Medium Rose and Miniature Rose.   I added a gem to the center of each rose.  All of these dies may be purchased at  Cheery Lynn Designs.  Be sure to stop by the Shabby Tea Room and check out the creations, they are always gorgeous!!!!

Cheery Lynn Add a door or window

The challenge this week on Cheery Lynn Design Challenge Blog is to add a door or window.  I started with a 5x7 cream card, added some pretty soft gold embossed paper and then cut the screen door with cat.  I put some cream paper behind it and distressed the bottom half with TH distressed inks.  I added the Victorian picket fence  which I also distressed  and added the  grass border.   The leaves are from the new flourish leaf border. I made the cute little pink flowers with the Cuties #3.   I'm also entering this in the Shabby Tea Room's Garden Party challenge.

Shabby Tea Room challenge 114

Our challenge at Shabby Tea Room was color and make a shaped card. I love the french flair by Cheery Lynn and the matching french flair doilies.  The pretty paper is Melissa Frances.  I also used CL medium and small butterflies and the little flourishes are Die-namics from
Joan's Garden.  The tag is from Spellbinders and I just added some gens to finish the card.

Shabby and Flourishes

The Shabby Tea Room and Flourishes have pretty pink challenges this week.  I started this 6x6 card with a pretty adhesive fabric background from JoAnn's. The Polynesian sail die cut with an oval behind it. I stamped the gorgeous spring bouquet from Flourishes, copics to color it and cut it out and pop dotted it over the ovals. The flourishes and leaf dies are from Marianne and all die cuts can be ordered through Joan's Garden.
I added a gold peel off border and prima flower and bow to finish the card.

Shabby Challenge

I'm trying my first Shabby Tea Room challenge. Our colors are aqua, pink and neutral.  I used some pretty adhesive fabric card stock from Jo Ann's for the background.  Melissa Francis for the cherubs and the flowered circle die cut.  I stamped the saying from Flourishes magnolia set. I'm not sure who made the background circle die cut, it's white metal?  The borders are a Martha Stewart border and I colored them with copics.  Added a pretty aqua bow and colored a prima flower with my copic marker and added some MS ferns and baby's breath.
