Sweet Stamps, NO Designer Paper

Wow no designer paper this week!!!  So I used a cuttlebug for the background and then added a pretty Marianne frame and I left it in the die and sponged some red around it and then edged it in gold leaf.   This beautiful Blossoms image was stamped and colored with copics and I added some gems to the center of the flowers.  The Cheery Lynn flourish leaf strip and daisy strip was used to make the flower and leaves.  Thank you so much for this honor this month. It's been so much fun and the images and dies are so wonderful to work with.

Happy Mother's Day

This is my second week for guest designing for Sweet Stamps.  For this Mother's day card I used the beautiful Rosy Heart Stamp and I cut it out of vellum. Embossed the outline and the roses and colored them with markers. The pretty doily behind the heart is  Cheery Lynn's French Pastry doily and I cut it out of silver metallic paper.  For the bouquet I used Flourish leaf strip, rose leaf strip and the flowers are medium rose strip.   I used a cuttlebug background and cut the sentiment strip and used the Mother's day saying.   Be sure to check in tomorrow for the Mother's Day Challenge and join in the fun.

Sweet Stamps, Bling it up

Our challenge over at Sweet stamps is to use some bling on our card.  I love this kind of challenge!!! I used Sweet stamps wild rose oval for this card, colored with copics.   I layered it over the Cheery Lynn Kiwi Oval die.   The paper is from Kaiser Craft and the corners were squares cut at 1.5 inches  then cut on the diamond  point to point, then I dropped them into a MS border punch and cut the edges. I added some leaves with a MS punch, some pink gem flower petals, pink gems to the corners, yellow gems to the center of the flowers to finish the card.

Case of Selma's gorgeous card

I saw Selma's card on Joan's Garden blog this morning and realized I could case this with all my new die cuts from there and Sweet stamps. Both sites carry the Marianne and Cheery Lynn dies.  The cards on the blogs from the designers are always gorgeous and a treat for your eyes.  I used Marianne cut and emboss for the main panel, ribbon die cut for the left side, lattice for the center after I cut around the embossed images, Some prima flowers, MS butterfly punch, I hand colored the ribbon and it really does match.  The checked or plaid paper is from Crafty Secrets and I'm using this for their challenge on Split Coast also.

I added the outer circle with a Marianne die, from Sweet Stamps.  The fence, grass and flourish are Cheery Lynn designs.  Martha Stewart butterflies were cut on paper that I sprayed with ink and water and crumbled up.  I'm also using this card for Stampin Sisters in Christ "doodles"

Some play time

I had some stamping time yesterday and with Blogger down I figured I would make a couple of cards. This one is for my friend whose sister died very young, 55 is way too young!!  I cased the design from Selma's stamping corner and hers was for some fun but I loved her design and layout. I used a Marianne Designable cut and emboss folder from Sweet stamps, an EK border punch down the left side, and for the corners, the stick pin is from Flourishes, Prima flower and leaves with vintage photo distress ink, lots of gems from Michaels.

This next card is a new stamp I just got from Sweet stamps, vertical pansies, colored with copics, Melissa Frances paper, MS butterfly punch, holographic peel offs over the ribbon and a gold pen to edge everything.  This was done for the sketch challenge this week on Split Coast.

Sweet Stamps, Sympathy

I tried several pictures of this card to get the color correct, the ribbon actually matches much better than this.  Our challenge at Sweet stamps was to make a sympathy card which is always very easy for me as I need lots of them in this elderly community we live in.  I think these new Marianne Designables cut and emboss folders are perfect for so many things.  They are available from Sweet stamps as is the saying.  She has a lot of very nice vertical sayings which are hard to find.  Check out the design teams cards, I know for a lot of you sympathy is a hard card to make.  I used the coordinations paper and sanded the embossed part a little bit to bring out the core color.  Gold mirror card is behind the embossed cut outs and the saying.

Stamping Sisters in Christ Round card challenge

Our challenge today on Stampin Sisters in Christ is to make a round card.  I used Cheery Lynn Designs straight and scalloped XL stacker dies on this card. The pretty K&Co paper on the top and the swirls were cut with a Marianne Die from Sweet Stamps.   Some bling from Michaels and sayings and it's all done.  Be sure to check out the beautiful DT cards on their blog.  Be sure to check out these Cheery Lynn stackers, you can make large shaped cards with these and you don't need a fancy expensive larger machine to do it. I used my cuttlebug and this card is about 5.5 inches across!! Just fold your paper and lay the top of the die up a little bit so the fold doesn't cut thru.

Sweet Stamps Frame it!

This beautiful frame and bird stamp are from
Sweet Stamps and our challenge to frame it worked great for this.  I actually cut out part of the frame stamp to make it larger and then stamped in black, didn't like that so I used my krylon gold pen and went around the outside of everything.  MS birds and branches punch. EK corner punch and some pretty paper.   Hop over to the blog and play along.

No coloring and Shapley cards

Our challenge today on Our Daily Bread Design is NO coloring, you can sponge the background but no coloring on the image. Wow that was perfect for the new set of stamps!!  The other challenge this card is for is the Fan club challenge on SplitCoast Stampers, make a shapley card.  I used a Marianne Design die cut for this card and the blossoms dies from Spellbinders.  Did you know that for a small amount of $25 per year you can be part of the fan club on SCS, we get to see fantastic cards and projects that you don't ever see if you are not a member and it helps keep SCS up and running!! I stamped this pretty image in Violet and the pretty paper is new from K&Co. Some prima flowers and MS fern punch with gold pen for the edges. The colors on all of this are blue and lavender even though it doesn't look like that in the photo.   Hop over to the blogs, the DT cards are beautiful!!!
