Our Daily Bread Design and Joan's Garden Challenge

This pretty step card is for the challenge at
Our Daily Bread Design and Joan's Garden.   I used two sets from Our Daily Bread Design.   The back image is from Bird and Butterflies labels.  The saying on the front is from You will find refuge. The die cut around the image and fence is from Our Daily Bread Design also.   The paper on the side is from K&Co.  I added lots of bling for this step card, the pretty bird cage is new and I can't find the paper on it.  The flourish and butterflies are  from Cheery Lynn.  The ferns are a Martha Stewart punch.  The extra birds are cut from the paper.

Guest Designer for Cheery Lynn, Borders and Edgers

I am so excited and honored to be the guest designer today for Cheery Lynn.    I started this card with with a 6" square and used the silver French Flair die for the shape of the card.  I then used the same die on another 6"square and laid the  Carnivale Border and  Ribbon Eyelet Border  on the square and taped them down. Then I used the silver French Flair and cut it out.  That way the borders are cut perfectly along the sides as well.  By adding this extra piece over the top of the card you hide the fold along the top also.   I wanted just a few things on this card so the borders remained the focal point.  I added the Lace Corner Deco D under the Cuties 2 flowers on the bottom corner.  The peel off saying is on the Sentiment 2 frame and the pretty butterflies are from the Small Exotic Butterflies.  I added some gems to finish this card.  Make sure you hop over to Cheery Lynn Designs challenge blog and see the beautiful creations and join in the fun, you may even win some free dies!!!!!

Any Which Way Challenge

The challenge at Flourishes this month is a sketch and you can turn it any which way.   I love this new  Autumn blossoms set and colored it with copics in Autumn colors.  I used a spellbinders die to cut it out and then edged it with a copper pen.  The background is a leaf cuttlebug folder and across the bottom I put some ribbon, peel off copper border and gems. I added some MS ferns and leaf with the bow that I colored with my copic markers and a couple of gems on top.  The beautiful corners are from Cheery Lynn's Lace corner Deco F.  I used some distress ink to make the card look more like fall.  Be sure to hop over to Flourishes and see the new sets coming out this week for the holidays, YUM!!! They have some blog hops going on and you may win some of the sets.

Stitches!!

I made this card for the Our Daily Bread Design and Cheery Lynn challenges.  Both of them were for stitching real or faux on the card.  The images are from Ask Seek and Knock and  Child of God
The shape of the card is the coved rectangle from Cheery Lynn, I used the coved rectangle stitch plate on the top piece. I added some iris leaves and a miniature rose to the side the image from Cheery Lynn.   I added a peel off border vine to the image to finish the card.

Flourishes with Marianne dies

This beautiful Hello Hyacinth stamp set is from Flourishes.  The challenge on their blog this week is to use purple and blue on your creation.   I colored these gorgeous flowers with copic markers and used a new Marianne die set for the doily and background.  The corners are Anja's corners from Marianne also.  I just used some distressed ink, pearls and a bow to finish this card.  Check out the Marianne blog and see all the gorgeous creations on there also. You can purchase these gorgeous dies from Sweet stamps.   Just a hint, most Marianne dies due better if you emboss them first and then cut. I also have 2 of these corners so I can do both top and bottom at the same time and stop half way and back them out.  If you don't do that it will flatten what you already have embossed.

Cheery Lynn anything goes

Anything goes with a Cheery Lynn die this week. I used lots of Cheery Lynn dies on this card. I started out with two classic circles inside each other for the wreath and then covered it with dimensional leaves set 2.     I then added several of the iris leaves and olive branches and flourish leaf strip.    Flowers were made with the miniature rose strip and cuties 2  and the butterflies are exotic butterflies small.   To finish the card I added some baby's breath and dried flowers from Michaels and gold pearls and border. I'm also using this card for the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge of dies or punches

Thanks, Kittie Kraft

I saw this gorgeous wreath on KittieKraft's blog. She also has a fabulous link to her tutorial on how to make these.  I started out using 2 circle dies to make the wreath and then layered a lot of the Martha Stewart leaves over it for the background.  Then I added some MS ferns, Cheery Lynn leaves from the Flourish Leaf Strip, and made the little flowers from the Miniature rose strip.  Added some MS butterflies, gems to the center of the flowers and butterflies and a bow.  The corners are from an EK success  punch and I added some bling to finish those.  The card is 5.5 square.  Peel off thank you in the center.
