I had some stamping time yesterday and with Blogger down I figured I would make a couple of cards. This one is for my friend whose sister died very young, 55 is way too young!! I cased the design from Selma's stamping corner and hers was for some fun but I loved her design and layout. I used a Marianne Designable cut and emboss folder from Sweet stamps, an EK border punch down the left side, and for the corners, the stick pin is from Flourishes, Prima flower and leaves with vintage photo distress ink, lots of gems from Michaels.
This next card is a new stamp I just got from Sweet stamps, vertical pansies, colored with copics, Melissa Frances paper, MS butterfly punch, holographic peel offs over the ribbon and a gold pen to edge everything. This was done for the sketch challenge this week on Split Coast.

Karen, both your cards are gorgeous. I always love to see your work. Thanks for the link back to my blog.
You've made some beautiful cards lately. Beautiful!
hugs, Elly
omgosh, you are doing wonderful things with your style and the shimmer paper...the sympathy card is beautiful. it is so great that we can now go out of the box with events, and holidays...i love the classiness of this card, yet it speaks of the occassion perfectly too.
