Spellbinders and Creative Expressions Christmas

I just received my new Spellbinders Becca's Chantilly Lace dies and decided to play.  I used some gold and white on the bottom one and cream and gold on the top one.  The Merry Christmas die is from Sue Wilson's Creative Expressions.  I added some pearls for accent.

Portion Control for Power Poppy

I stamped the pretty Winter Wonderland from Power Poppy with black Memento ink and colored it with copics.  I cut it out and used the same die cut to make a frame for this and edged it in gold pen.  I cut a burgundy and blue Merrie Christmas and off set them so it has a shadow effect.  I added some bling with gems to finish the card.

Season's Greetings

I'm finishing up my Christmas cards and still have some to mail.  These papers are from Heartfelt Creations and I lined them all in gold pen and added a ribbon and bow and little gems to finish the card.

Heartfelt Creations fold out card

Heartfelt Creations just launched the new fold out card sets.  I used the new Fleur border dies and the Sun Kissed paper collection and dies to make this card.  The season's greeting is a peel off and I used a Spellbinders die for the saying.

Power Poppy Poinsettia in pinks

The challenge this month at Power Poppy is Pinks. I stamped the poinsettia in memento black and colored it with copics. I added some stickles to the center and the berries and cut it out with a label 4 spellbinders die and edged it in gold pen. The background is a cuttlebug embossing folder and the corners were done with a Creative expression Sue Wilson Australian corner. I finished the corners with a gold pen and added a pearl to each one.

Power Poppy Paperwhites

I used the beautiful new paper whites stamp by Power Poppy, colored them with copics and added stickles to the berries.  I cut out a portion of the stamp and added it to the bottom edge.  I used a cuttlebug embossing folder and then added some metallic rub on in pearl to give it some shine.  I cut out the image with a spellbinder die and edged it with distress ink. Added some lace, silver pen around the edge to finish this card.

Christmas is a time to remember

This is a very simple easy to mail card that I used Heartfelt Creations papers and border die to make.  I just edged things with a gold Krylon pen and added some red gems to finish this card.

Heartfelt Bell border

I used the beautiful Heartfelt Creations bell border stamp and matching die for this card. I colored the greens with copics and added gold stickles to the bells and red stickles for the bows.  The tag and paper are from Heartfelt also and I added some stickles to the candle to make it sparkle.  Heartfelt Creations has plenty of gorgeous Christmas papers, stamps and matching dies to choose from.

Cream and gold fence

I am having a wonderful time creating Christmas cards with the new Heartfelt Creations Christmas stamps and dies and papers.  This is actually a cream linen paper so the old paper distressed ink worked perfect for the fence. I just sponged some of the old paper on the fence and colored in the latch with a copic marker.  The holy and berries were colored with memento markers and stickles added to the berries.  I added some white Flower Soft along the bottom for the snow.  The sentiment is a peel off sticker.

Christmas tags

I don't usually make tags but I needed these for my bosses this year and decided to go with an eclectic theme. I used a glittered card stock and just cut the corners round.  The deer and dove are Cheery Lynn dies and the tree is a Sue Wilson die.  I added little red beads to the trees.  I think the holly leaves are from Sue Wilson also.

Christmas Angel for a birthday

My sister always asks for an angel card for her birthday since it's right before Christmas. I used the Sue Wilson angel die and cut it out of sparkly paper and added some pearls.  The card is 5.5 square and I used the new Cheery Lynn stitched square dies for the card and frame.  I used some peel offs for the borders and saying.  The flower and leaves are from Michaels and I used s pearl stick pin to finish the card.

On the first day of Christmas

This pretty partridge in a pear tree is a digital image from Power Poppy.  I cut it out with some spellbinders dies and edged them with a gold pen.  I colored the image with copic markers and mounted them on the snowflake embossed background.  I added some gold peel off corners and ribbon and bow and topped it with a flower to match.  I'm adding this to the challenge for embellish it.

Peace on Earth

I made this pretty card with Sue Wilson's dies and gilding wax.  The trees were embossed and then cut out on black card stock and then I added the gilding wax for color. The Peace on Earth was cut out of sticky paper and glittered.  These are all Sue Wilson's dies and I used her blog for inspiration.   I get my dies from Joan's Garden and she is very dependable and quick and only charges the exact shipping.

Another "Embelllish it"

The challenge on Power Poppy is to Embellish your cards. I used the stocking from the Poinsettia set to make this card.  I colored it in copics and edged everything with a Krylon silver pen.  The die cuts are from Becca's spellbinders and Cheery Lynn designs.  I used an Anna Griffin cuttlebug for texture in the background.

More Christmas

I'm still making Christmas cards and decided to keep this one mostly white with just an accent of color.  The poinsettia is from Cheery Lynn designs, the rest of the dies are from Sue Wilson's creative expressions.  I lined everything in silver with a Krylon pen. The saying is a peel off sticker.

Power Poppy Embelllish it!!!

The challenge over at Power Poppy is to Embellish it!!! I used the Heaven and Nature Sing stamp set and colored it with copics after cutting it out with a Cheery Lynn oval. The oval, holly branch, and poinsettia are all from Cheery Lynn Designs and the other dies are from Creative Expressions Sue Wilson's designs.  I used a Krylon gold pen to outline all of the dies and the edge of the background which is a Anna Griffin Ogee Damanask embossing folder.  I get all my Sue Wilson's dies from Joan's Garden.

Out of my comfort Christmas

Every day I check Sue Wilson's blog for the new Creative Expressions dies and ideas. I love her cards even though they are huge, UK size cards and I try and use some of her ideas for the US size cards that I make.  I started this card with a 5x7 soft champagne gold card (it's not really white) added a layer of black and then I added a layer of gold linen foil that I got from Michaels or one of the big box stores. I pierced it with my new rectangle piercing die from Cheery Lynn.  I then added the Polynesian Sails oval doily in the soft gold and added some pearls.  The trees are from Sue Wilson's winter trees at Joan's Garden website.  You can click on Creative Expression, Sue Wilson and find tons of wonderful dies and card ideas with them.  After watching the video on Sue's blog I cut and embossed the trees and the Merry Christmas in black and then added some soft gold gilding wax to them and to the Merry Christmas.  This is definitely not a normal color combo for me but it's so striking in real life and I think I may do some more of this color combo.  Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the dies and ideas on Sue's blog.
