Our Daily Bread Designs, favorites

Before I get into the making of this card I want to give you the link that I got this inspiration from.  Linda's works of heart, her card is fabulous and much fancier than mine but it made me remember that I had these book dies in my stash and I forget to use them.  Our challenge this week on ODBD is pick a favorite set of their stamps and make a card with it.  Do you know how hard that was? I like them all but I have always loved this cross of Christ set and
Easter Blessings set.  I cut the dies out of white and gold mirror card, trimmed the white ones to fit inside the gold ones and gold embossed the saying and the crosses.  I used the Spellbinders cross dies to cut them out and edged them with an 18k gold pen. The fanciful flourish, olive branch  and flower and leaf are from Cheery Lynn designs.  The DP is K&Co and the pretty pale aqua card is from a Japanese linen paper.

I added lots of pearls to finish the card. I'm also entering this in the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge lots of embellishments.

Just Rite soft colors and butterflies

Our challenge this time on Just Rite is to use spring colors and butterflies.  I love this beautiful Sympathy Rose set, this flower can be used for anything.  I used a spellbinders beaded oval   with a straight oval for the image.  I cut 1.25 in square and then cut it on the diamond and dropped it into the Martha Stewart punch for the corners.  The pretty pink border is a strip from MS also and I colored it with a copic marker and added pearls down the center.  Paper is from Prima meadow lark collection.  I punched two butterflies from a MS punch and added the pearls.

Things with Wings

Things with Wings is our challenge this week on the Cheery Lynn Blog.
I used their French Flair dies for this card.  The card base is made from The French Flair, then I used the French Flair stitch plate for the stitching around the edge, the light green layer is the French flair and the DP layer is the French Flair doily stacker.
I used the gorgeous Med Exotic butterfly with the matching angel wing.   Fanciful flourish, olive branches    Judy's Blooms, Cuties 1 were used to make the flower and leaves.  I added a few pearls for the butterfly center.

Casing Selma!!

Do you know about Selma's blog?  It's fabulous and she is one of the queens of Marianne Dies.  I made this card for the challenge on Classy Cards N Such, the butterfly on the front is Cheery Lynn die with the angel wing behind it.  Some of their dies have solid ones for backing them. All other dies are Marianne, I tried to CASE Selma's card today, LOL  it was fun but I had challenges with it.  I didn't have the exact same dies so I improvised on a few things.  This is also using the Technique challenge on SCS for Patina.  I cut the edges on the back piece and then cut the pretty circle and ran it through on a cuttlebug folder. Then I applied some inks and versamark and embossing powder to get the patina look.  I added some peel off borders, a bow dyed with the same inks and flower to finish the card.  Selma has a step by step tutorial on her blog to help you make this card.
