Heatfelt Creations Flowering Dogwoods

I just received my flowering Dogwood collection of stamps, dies and papers from Heartfelt Creations and they are gorgeous!! I love soft colors so this collection is perfect. I used their 6x6 papers in the collection and just made flowers and leaves to accent the cards. The blue doesn't show on the background paper on the first card but it is there and the blue ribbon and bow match it.

Heartfelt Creations fold out card

Heartfelt Creations just launched the new fold out card sets.  I used the new Fleur border dies and the Sun Kissed paper collection and dies to make this card.  The season's greeting is a peel off and I used a Spellbinders die for the saying.

Christmas is a time to remember

This is a very simple easy to mail card that I used Heartfelt Creations papers and border die to make.  I just edged things with a gold Krylon pen and added some red gems to finish this card.

Heartfelt Bell border

I used the beautiful Heartfelt Creations bell border stamp and matching die for this card. I colored the greens with copics and added gold stickles to the bells and red stickles for the bows.  The tag and paper are from Heartfelt also and I added some stickles to the candle to make it sparkle.  Heartfelt Creations has plenty of gorgeous Christmas papers, stamps and matching dies to choose from.

Cream and gold fence

I am having a wonderful time creating Christmas cards with the new Heartfelt Creations Christmas stamps and dies and papers.  This is actually a cream linen paper so the old paper distressed ink worked perfect for the fence. I just sponged some of the old paper on the fence and colored in the latch with a copic marker.  The holy and berries were colored with memento markers and stickles added to the berries.  I added some white Flower Soft along the bottom for the snow.  The sentiment is a peel off sticker.

Violet Rose

I have a new granddaughter names Violet Rose.  I used one of the newest inserts from Heartfelt Creations and the classic rose papers to make this mini album for them.  These papers are gorgeous and I love that you can use this insert as a separate album.

Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose in Pinks

I just received my Classic Rose order from Heartfelt Creations and decided to play some today.  I used one of their beautiful 6x6 squares as the base for this card, cut out the smaller two sizes of roses and colored them with a copic RV69, it really does match the darker shade on the paper in real life.  I used glue and glitter to highlight the roses and leaves after watch the video that Emma Lou did on this collection.  I added just a fine peel off gold border around the light green and some stickles to accent things.  This collection is gorgeous and the dies line up so easily.  Not sure who I'm sending this card to so will add a sentiment later.

Pearls, Lace and Flowers

I just received my new Dahlia stamp set from Flourishes and wanted to play today. I made this card for The Shabby Tea Room Challenge.  I stamped the image on a spellbinders oval circle with a Marianne and Joy die behind it.  The flower is from Heartfelt Creations and the butterfly and flourish is from Cheery Lynn. The pretty papers are from Wild Rose Studio.  I edged everything in silver pen and added some lace and pearls to finish the card.

Heartfelt creations thinking of you

I played with my Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed stamps and die cut.  This new die cut is so much easier to use with the flowers.  I cut and colored and embossed three of the flowers and added them along the top of the card.  I added stickles to all the flowers for accents.  The sentiment is stamped on their stamp and fussy cut out and I used a gold peel off saying.

I just received my order from Heartfelt creations, the pretty flower and tag are part of the new  sun kissed set.  The leaves are all from Cheery Lynn. The pretty paper is from Wild Rose Studios vintage rose pack.  I fancy cut the tag out and popped flowers over the larger ones for dimension.  I added a holographic peel off border to finish the card.

Joan's Garden challenge for May

I made this for the weekly challenge on Joan's Garden.   Our challenge was: Use a Garden Theme
Use a Sentiment
Make a flower using Flower Soft or micro beads for the Stamen (center)
Use an Embossed Background
I used a Heartfelt creation stamp and cut out the rose on a second one to pop it up. Colored with copics and distressed ink, a Cheery Lynn oval, Victorian romance corner, Medium and Small rose die with some flower soft in the center and the small exotic butterfly.  The background is a piece of DP from my stash and I ran it through the Kassie butterfly cuttlebug.  You can get all of the dies and stamp from Joan's Gardens.
Be sure to check out the beautiful card that Selma made for this challenge and all the wonderful products from Joan.

Lavender monochromatic card

I bought this top die cut from Heartfelt Creations quite awhile ago and finally played with it yesterday.  I have to tell you that it works much better if you use wax paper between the die and card stock. I ruined a few trying to get them out of the die before I did that. You can purchase the HFC dies at Joan's Garden.   I cut my card and scored it, added the top die and then used a piece of DP on the inside to cover the addition. I used a Martha Stewart large border punch for the sides, MS butterfly punch, spellbinders for the saying and added some gold pen and bling to finish it. I'm using this card for the monochromatic challenge on Stampin Sisters in Christ.

Matching die tutorial

Have you purchased any of the stamps with matching spellbinders dies yet. I love them but hated trying to use them. Every time I tried to do the masking thing it never worked quite right. My friend Sandy Hulsart came up with a much better way to do this in my opinion.   Step one is cut out the die cut on your paper and set it aside. Step two is line up your stamp a ma jig, I got mine at Michaels.  It has a square piece of plastic and you stamp on the shinny side. The rough side is to keep it from slipping on your paper.  I'm left handed so I do mine this way but anyway you line it up is fine.  Step 3 place your stamp on the block or use a wood mounted stamp and ink it up.
Step 4 is place the block into the corner of the Stamp a ma jig and stamp on the piece of plastic.
Step 5 is place a piece of REMOVABLE scotch tape on the backside of the die cut and stick it down on your stamping surface, I'm using black paper just so it shows up on this.  I get my removable tape at Michaels in the tape section.
Now I have the ornament taped down and I have the stamped image placed over it exactly where I want it. Line up the corner of the stamp a ma jig and then carefully remove the plastic.  Now place the block or stamp into that corner and press down on top of the die cut, it should stamp it perfectly.

Now you are finished and you have a perfectly placed stamp over the top of your die cut. I know this sounds like a lot of fussing but it actually is very quick and easy.  It only takes about 2 minutes or so once you get the hang of it.  I hope this helps some of you with these new matching die cuts from Spellbinders. Just a quick note,  some of the companies use Cheery Lynn dies and they come with a clear acrylic template to use which is much easier to line up.   Have a great day, thanks for stopping by.

Joan's Garden Challenge, Nature

I made this card for the challenge over at
Joan's Garden.  We were to use Nature as a theme, several layers, glitter and one of the Around the page punches by Martha Stewart or any other punch.  This beautiful stamp set is from Heartfelt Creations Spring Birdies set and I stamped in memento black, colored with copics and then added stickles to the images. I used some pretty DP from my stash and then layered everything with black to accent it. The around the page punch is from Martha Stewart and the oval is spellbinders.  I added some feathers and prima flower and leaves to finish the card.  Be sure to check out Joan's blog, she has some fabulous ideas and things for sale.

Heartfelt ornament and Bo Bunny paper

I gold embossed this pretty ornament from Heartfelt creations and matched it with the spellbinders die for the 2011 ornament die.  The pretty paper is from last years bo bunny Noel mini edgy album paper pad.  It matches the french flair die cuts from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I colored the poinsettia with a memento marker and sponged peel paint and shabby shutters on the ornament. Merry Christmas is stamped in Shabby Shutters. Gold peel off borders finished the card.
