Prayers for Rose

My wonderful sweet little old neighbor has been in the hospital and is recovering at her daughters now and I wanted to send a card to her. I used the new sympathy and prayers set from Just Rite Stamps for this card and used the Split Coast Belleek technique to make the background for this.  I know the Belleek is suppose to be more like taupe and cream but her eyesight is not as good as it use to be so I chose the tumbled glass distress ink for this instead.  I added some pearls and ribbon and the die cut is the custom die from Just Rite that matches this set of stamps and the border stamp which I chose not to use.  I colored the roses with copics, remember when you refill your copics only fill them about 1/2 to 2/3 full, I had to grab a paper towel and let mine drip because I got them too full and they were bleeding all over the place.

Kar I'm not getting the posts again. This is so thoughtful of you. Did you just get copics or is it just my fog because of my dad. This is really nice of you and a truly beautiful card. Did you sponge your folder? It is gorgeous. Yes my copics do that too. I have cut up old towels and I find they really work for this and all the art stuff - saves $. I love the bottom punching (I think) on this. xox

Beautiful Karen!! I just love how you have done the background and coloured those pretty roses. Thank you too for the tip on the Copics. I have not had to refill any of mine yet. I do have a couple though that flood when I go to use them - think I will try new tips in them!

I love the card. The background is amazing. Not sure I have seen that embossing folder, who makes it? Great job on the coloring of the roses. She is going to love this card.
