Flourishes with Marianne dies

This beautiful Hello Hyacinth stamp set is from Flourishes.  The challenge on their blog this week is to use purple and blue on your creation.   I colored these gorgeous flowers with copic markers and used a new Marianne die set for the doily and background.  The corners are Anja's corners from Marianne also.  I just used some distressed ink, pearls and a bow to finish this card.  Check out the Marianne blog and see all the gorgeous creations on there also. You can purchase these gorgeous dies from Sweet stamps.   Just a hint, most Marianne dies due better if you emboss them first and then cut. I also have 2 of these corners so I can do both top and bottom at the same time and stop half way and back them out.  If you don't do that it will flatten what you already have embossed.

Cheery Lynn anything goes

Anything goes with a Cheery Lynn die this week. I used lots of Cheery Lynn dies on this card. I started out with two classic circles inside each other for the wreath and then covered it with dimensional leaves set 2.     I then added several of the iris leaves and olive branches and flourish leaf strip.    Flowers were made with the miniature rose strip and cuties 2  and the butterflies are exotic butterflies small.   To finish the card I added some baby's breath and dried flowers from Michaels and gold pearls and border. I'm also using this card for the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge of dies or punches

Thanks, Kittie Kraft

I saw this gorgeous wreath on KittieKraft's blog. She also has a fabulous link to her tutorial on how to make these.  I started out using 2 circle dies to make the wreath and then layered a lot of the Martha Stewart leaves over it for the background.  Then I added some MS ferns, Cheery Lynn leaves from the Flourish Leaf Strip, and made the little flowers from the Miniature rose strip.  Added some MS butterflies, gems to the center of the flowers and butterflies and a bow.  The corners are from an EK success  punch and I added some bling to finish those.  The card is 5.5 square.  Peel off thank you in the center.

Cheery Lynn Doilies and No stamping

I made this card for the doily challenge at Cheery Lynn.   I started the card with a gorgeous French Flair die and then added the French Flair doily stacker over it.  I totally love this shape and use it a lot. In the lower corner I used the center of the Nautical Wheeler doily, layered a leaf from Judy's bloom and then made my flower with the large rose strip and cuties 2.   I added some leaves from the flourish leaf strip behind the flower.  I totally love that die!!  The darling butterfly is from the small Exotic butterfly set.   The peel off saying is on a spellbinders twisted metal tag.   I'm also using this card for the "no stamping" Learn a new technique on the Split Coast forum.

Celebration 5B, Peach Turq, Pink and Green

These challenges at Flourishes are so much fun, this one is a color challenge.I used the pretty Herbs set for this card and I stamped in Bundled sage distressed ink.    I started the 5x7 card with the scalloped coved rectangle for the shape, then I added some Anna Griffin pretty paper cut from the same scalloped cove rectangle,  then the oval doily stacker,  in pale green, straight oval in Turquoise, with  inverted scalloped oval in pink and straight oval in white.  I added some pine branches along the side.  The pretty small exotic butterflies and a big peach bow with a glittered dove finished the card.  All die cuts can be purchased from Cheery Lynn.  I believe the stamp set I used may be discontinued but there are tons of gorgeous stamps at Flourishes so have a great shopping spree!! Flourishes Sweet Celebrations

Flourishes is having a fantastic celebration for their 5th anniversary.  This first one is Sweet Celebrations.   Using these gorgeous  Sweet Berries and coloring them with copics to represent black berries was so much fun.  I started with a 5x7 card, cut a pretty piece of K&Co paper and trimmed it with a silver pen.  The gorgeous oval and corners are from Cheery Lynn.  I took the Polynesian sails oval and used the large piece for the border around a  inverted scalloped oval and then took the center piece from the Polynesian oval and cut it in half and then each piece in half again for the corners.  I added some glittered buttons to the corners and a gorgeous purple silk bow with a glittered button in the center.  Come and join in the fun with lots of wonderful prizes available.

Using Kraft paper

I made this cascading card for the challenge on Flourishes blog. We were to use Kraft paper on our card, now I don't have any actual Kraft paper and neither did 3 stores I went to.  I did however have some beautiful bazzill that same color.  I picked up this pretty print paper yesterday at a local store and decided it would work fine with the Kraft color.  The flowers, leaves, mini flourish and butterflies are all from Cheery Lynn designs.  The center flourish is from my favorite things and the left flourish is a Marianne die.  The beautiful Botanical book plate with matching die is from Flourishes.
I colored the image with just a little bit of copic marker and then edged it in gold and distressed linen.  I added some gems to the flower and butterflies to finish the card.  There is a great 5 year anniversary party over at Flourishes so hop over there and participate to win some goodies!!!

Noon time challenge, Texture

The noon time challenge at Flourishes pre-release week is to use texture on your card.  I chose the beautiful sweet pea stamp and colored it with copics in RV02, RV52 and R83 with G43 for the leaves. The saying is from the Gerber Daisy collection.   I used lots of texture on this card, the  inverted scalloped oval shape is from Cheery Lynn Designs, I layered the oval doily on the top section and ran the card and the doily through a cuttlebug folder.  The pretty flourish leaves are from Cheery Lynn.  I added some prima flowers and gems and a Martha Stewart bird to finish the card.  Be sure to check out the gorgeous new sets at Flourishes!!!

Neutrals

I made this pretty neutral card for two different challenges.  The first one is The Shabby Tea Room, and the second one is Our Daily Bread Design.  I started with a 6x6 card, trimmed a piece of the Prima Nature Garden paper and edged it in gold pen.  I added a Cheery Lynn  Polynesian sails oval and used the center of this die for the corners. I added a spellbinders oval in the center for the saying.  I added two Mini Fanciful Flourish, 3 leafs from the Flourish Leaf Strip and the flowers are made from Roses medium and miniature.  I distressed the die cuts with tea dye distressed ink.  The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Design  Each Minute.   Be sure to visit each of the blogs and see the wonderful inspiration there.

New Marianne die

I love this new Marianne die set LRO236 that I got from Joan's Garden.  I made this for the anything goes at Marianne Design Divas blog.   I used the new die set which includes the solid back and front lattice die, the tall green flourishes and a center piece to match the diamond center.  I forgot to add that one to the card, LOL  The beautiful flowers are the medium and miniature rose dies and the flourish leaf strip from Cheery Lynn which can also be purchased from Joan's Garden.   I just added some gems to the flower center to finish the card and when I decide what I'm going to use this card for I'll add a sentiment to the center.

Happy Birthday Flourishes

Happy Birthday Flourishes!!! Flourishes is 5yr old this month and they are celebrating by having some challenges this week and next for the upcoming August release.   I love this Humming Along set of stamps and I chose to use the triple layered card.  I colored this with copics and even colored the silver happy birthday peel off to match the pink color scheme. I used a spellbinder Fancy label 3 and some Want to scrap that matches the die.  Happy Birthday Flourishes, I don't know where I would get the beautiful flower stamps if you hadn't started your business. I love their flowers and they are fabulously easy to color!!

Cheery Lynn Hot Time in the Summer

Hot time in the summer is the challenge at Cheery Lynn this week.  I'm using the pretty  Daisy Lace frame from Cheery Lynn and I cut it out of pretty soft lime cardstock and laid it in sticker paper.  I very carefully added glitter to the card and topped it with a spellbinders fancy label with matching want 2 scrap pearl overlay.  I used some gold holographic borders and a gold peel off to finish the card.  I'm also entering this in the die cuts challenge at Classy Cards and this Daisy frame can be purchased from there as well. She has many CL dies and lots of other goodies in her store.
