Flourishes Vellum and Marianne Designs anything goes
I made this pretty white and silver and pink card for the challenges at Flourishes (vellum) and anything goes for the Marianne Designs. This is a 5x5 card, I used the old fashioned florals stamp set from Flourishes. I stamped them on vellum and used a very small spellbinders scalloped oval to cut them out and colored them with distressed inks in Victorian velvet and mowed lawn. I added a pink gem to the center of the main flower. The fan is Marianne fancy fan #1 and the bottom piece is Anja decorative edge and the scalloped shape behind the fans is from the Marianne but I can't find the name of it. You can get the Marianne dies from Sweet Stamps and she can order any of them for you.

Cheery Lynn Tag you're it!
The challenge at Cheery Lynn this week is to make a tag. I started this tag with the Cove silver stacker rectangles. I layered that with the scalloped cove rectangles in a pretty gold paper. I added a pretty snowflake 2 up in the corner with a gem in the center. The Christmas candlelight was added next with lots of holly leaves, the leaf flourish, and the poinsettia strip. I know this looks really flat and that is because Microsoft hasn't fixed the problem with all the Sony products yet and I can't use my camera to take a picture, I had to scan it instead.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday 246 sketch
Wow after many hours and frustration I found out that the new windows 8,.1 is NOT compatible with Sony cyber shot cameras, isn't that nice. I hope they send a fix through soon for this. Pink and White Roman Romance
I was playing some more with the shimmer sheets today and the Roman Romance embossing folder by Spellbinders. The embossed card front is on shimmery vellum and then I rubbed over it with ink. The bow was made from shimmer sheets and it doesn't have white spots on it in real life, I think it must be the lighting. The bow is a tutorial on Becca's Amazing paper grace blog and they are fun to do. I added a Cheery Lynn mini fanciful flourish and some glittery pearls. This gorgeous folder and shimmer sheets can be found at Joan's Garden.
Shimmer Sheets
I was playing with my new shimmer sheets from Joan's Garden. I ran the Cheery Lynn lace tree die through the vagabond and it didn't cut all the way through but that was ok, I just cut a shimmer vellum and layer it. I hand cut around the outside of the metal tree and kept all the pieces intact for the backing tree. The min Sophia heart doily behind and added some wreath strip flourishes and ready made poinsettia and gold peel off border and corners to finish the card.
Vintage Christmas
The Challenge on Cheery Lynn this week is Vintage. The card is 5x7 with the white silk paper cut 4.75x6.75 inches and trimmed in gold pen. I ran the white silk paper through with the poinsettia background plate and used tea dye distressed ink around the edge also. I used the lace Christmas tree and distressed it over the angel wing in green. I edged the tree in gold pen also. The top border is lace deco lights and I added some gems to bling it up. I used the mini fanciful flourish and holly leaves in green and gold with a few wreath strips around the leaves. The poinsettia is an old one from my stash and I can't wait to get the poinsettia strip from Cheery Lynn, it's much prettier. I added some bling to finish the card.
